Grass fires spread in Jefferson County
JEFFERSON CO. -- Firefighters spent Saturday night into Sunday battling a wildfire near Lake Mills.
Jefferson County officials say the fire started around 10 p.m. Saturday, November 10th near County Road G and Mud Lake Road.
FOX6 News viewers sent in cell phone video showing a marshy area caught fire creating an ominous orange glow in the sky.
Officials say strong winds fueled the fire. But it was contained before it could reach nearby farmhouses.
