Firefighters, American Red Cross volunteers called out to separate house fires in Milwaukee
MILWAUKEE -- Officials with the Milwaukee Fire Department and American Red Cross were on the scene of two separate fires on Tuesday night, January 5th.
Both of these fires happened around the same time.
A two-story multi-family building caught fire near 107th and Fountain Avenue around 8:45 p.m.
The fire was extinguished -- and no one was hurt.
The American Red Cross responded to the scene to assist those displaced. It's unclear how many people they were assisting.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
A damage estimate hasn't been released.
Firefighters were also called out to the scene of a fire near 26th and Juneau on Tuesday night.
It happened around 8:45 p.m. on the second floor of a two-story duplex.
Flames were showing when the fire department arrived on scene.
No injuries were reported, but four people were displaced.
The American Red Cross responded to the scene to assist those people.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
A damage estimate hasn't been released.
