MILWAUKEE -- A young man was killed in a shooting near 17th Street and Center Street Friday morning, Dec. 13.

Police responded to the scene just after 6:30 a.m.

Investigators were working to determine what led up to this -- and seeking the shooter.

Meanwhile, family identified the victim as 15-year-old Jason Eggars, and said he was a freshman at North Division High School. They held a vigil in his honor on Saturday afternoon.

Eggars was the first of two teenagers killed in shootings on Friday. A 17-year-old boy was shot and killed in a shooting near 5th Street and Burleigh Street on Friday night.

Eggars' family set up a GoFundMe.com account to raise money for funeral services.
