“Do you want to a protection plan?:" Are gadget insurances worth it?

You often hear it as you’re checking out at the electronics store, “Do you want to a protection plan?”

Usually I’m not a fan of spending extra money on top my gadgets, but today’s extended warranty plans have come a long way and might actually be worth the money.
