DHS: 1,119 new positive cases of COVID-19 in WI; 6 new deaths

The number of positive cases of COVID-19 in Wisconsin rose by 1,119 Sunday, Jan. 24, officials with the Wisconsin Department of Health Services reported, for a total of 532,971.

There have been 5,691 deaths in the state, with six new deaths reported by DHS officials Sunday.

Of the positive cases, 23,692 have required hospitalization (4.4%), while 504,238 have recovered (94.6%), making for 22,882 active cases (4.3%).

More than 2.4 million have tested negative.

More than 3 million have been tested.
