FOND DU LAC -- A man whose trial in a 1990 murder case ended without a verdict in June has been sentenced in a drug case.
62-year-old Dennis Brantner was sentenced to six years in prison, 11 years extended supervision and seven years probation in Fond du Lac County court, according to WLUK.
Authorities say they found prescription drugs in Brantner's boot when he was arrested last year for the 1990 murder of Berit Beck.
Beck was traveling from her home in Sturtevant to Appleton for a work seminar when she disappeared. Her van was found a few days later, and her body was later found in a ditch in Fond du Lac County.

The district attorney in Fond du Lac County said in June he would consult with Beck's family, sheriff's investigators and other prosecutors before deciding how to proceed after a mistrial was declared in the case.
DA Eric Toney would only say that he's keeping the options open when asked about retrying Brantner in the death of Beck.
