Criminal complaint
There are serious allegations against one of their board members involving teenagers.
The allegations are not connected to his work with the MSO, but the symphony does often host concerts for school groups.
On Monday, the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra still listed Eric Hobbs as a board member, but on leave.
Now, his name is missing.
Epstein, assault charges; Milwaukee Symphony board members tied to scandals
Two Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra board members are under scrutiny in unrelated matters, including past recruiting ties to Jeffrey Epstein and separate sexual assault charges filed in Green Lake County.
FOX6 reported Monday that prosecutors in Green Lake County last year charged Hobbs with sexual assault.
They say the assaults happened in 2019, 2021, and 2023, including inappropriately touching teen girls.
The charges came more than 10 months ago, but it wasn’t until after the story ran on Monday that the MSO removed his name from their site.
Eric Hobbs
They still haven’t responded.
What they're saying:
Hobbs' attorney did respond on Monday:
"Mr. Hobbs denies these allegations. The allegations are entirely separate from his volunteer work with the symphony board. We look forward to clearing his name."

This was the second symphony board member with a recent scandal. The other is Peter Mahler—who is listed as a board member.
The Epstein files show Mahler worked as a recruiter for Epstein in 2013 when he was looking for an assistant.
In a statement when that news broke, he told FOX6 the allegations against Epstein are "abhorrent." And knowing what they know now, they wouldn't have worked with him.
