MILWAUKEE -- Baby Khalia couldn't wait to be born on 11-11-11, but she apparently came too soon for her mother Pearletha Baker, who couldn't make it to the hospital in time.
Instead of a hospital delivery, she gave birth to Khalia alone... at her home.
She thought she had enough time to make it to the hospital, but that wasn't the case. Pearletha says, "When her head came out and she started looking at me, that's the moment I was like... what do I do?"
On top of everything, she had to go to a neighbor's house to call 911. Paramedics came and took her to the hospital.
According to the family, they are both healthy and doing good. Khalia was born five-pounds and 14 ounces. They are expected to be released from the hospital on Sunday.
