KENOSHA (WITI) -- The Business Journal reports Amazon.com’s planned one-million-square-foot Kenosha distribution center is officially a go.
Amazon.com is expected to create 1,000 jobs in the distribution center planned for a 101-acre site east of Interstate 94 near 122nd Street.
The city will provide $17 million for construction of the building through a tax incremental financing district Kenosha’s Common Council unanimously (13-0) approved on October 7th.
This distribution center will make Wisconsin the 14th state to collect sales tax on Amazon purchases.
