5th and Hayes homicide: Milwaukee man shot after argument

Police say a 32-year-old Milwaukee man was fatally shot near 5th and Hayes on Milwaukee's south side on Wednesday.

MILWAUKEE - Police say a 32-year-old Milwaukee man was fatally shot near 5th and Hayes on Milwaukee's south side on Wednesday, May 11.

Officials say the shooting happened around 1:45 p.m. Wednesday. The victim was pronounced deceased on the scene. The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office has since identified him as Arthur Williams.

Police believe an argument led to the shooting – and they are seeking a known suspect.

An autopsy on Williams was scheduled for Thursday.
