GREEN BAY -- Crews have installed a 45-foot Christmas tree in the plaza in front of the Lambeau Field Atrium.
The tree is part of the annual "Festival of Lights."
The tree was taken from the front yard of Robert and Jenny Spice of Ashwaubenon -- just a few blocks south of the Lambeau Field.
The evergreen tree was just a foot tall when the couple moved in back in 1984. Now, 28 years later, they said it is an honor to have their tree selected for Lambeau Field.
"Everybody knows where Lambeau Field is. Rockefeller Center has a tree, but it's grown on a tree farm usually and the White House -- it's always grown for that. This is just in our yard and got picked. It's kinda cool," Robert and Jenny Spice said.
The tree will be decorated throughout the week, with over 10,000 lights. It will then be lighted during a ceremony Saturday night, November 29th -- just before the Packers take on the Vikings on Sunday.
