MILWAUKEE - A Milwaukee man says he killed two rappers because one of them took his gun.

What we know:
28-year-old Kelven Harris is now charged with two counts of first-degree reckless homicide, use of a dangerous weapon. He's accused of shooting and killing two men inside a recording studio near 31st and Cameron on Aug. 17.
21-year-old Daquaiseon Evans and 33-year-old Quentene Williams were both found dead at the scene. They were better known by their rap names Lil Sheisty and Funny $Money.

Milwaukee police responded to two shootings that left three people dead on Monday afternoon.

What we know:
According to the criminal complaint, Harris said he was invited by Evans to stop by, but said Evans "snatched" his handgun from his waistband during an argument about a family disagreement and refused to give it back.
Harris said he tried to grab the gun back, but that didn't work, and then he and Evans headbutted each other. Then, "when that happened, I just grabbed a gun off the counter and I shot him [Evans]."

Harris also told investigators that, "when I got a gun off the counter and shot him, Funny [Williams] tried to grab the Draco (a compact, semi-automatic AK-47 style pistol) that was on the counter and I shot him [Williams], as I was trying to run out." Harris later said that he shot Evans because Evans "stepped back" which he thought meant he was going to shoot him.
The complaint goes on to say that police found both victims dead next to a couch. Eight .40-caliber cartridge casings were recovered, none matching the firearms found on or near the victims.
Harris told police that he tossed the firearm in a river and later was able to tell police where that river was. Police were able to find a Glock .40 caliber handgun which an analysis determined is consistent with having fired all the cartridge casings found at the crime scene.

Kelven Harris is scheduled to have his initial appearance in court on Tuesday, Aug. 25.
