19-year-old sentenced to five years for attempted carjacking

KENOSHA -- The man who admitted to beating an elderly Kenosha man with a tire iron during an attempted carjacking has been sentenced to five years in prison.

19-year-old Cameron Edwards of Iowa was sentenced Thursday, May 31st for his role in the attack on 75-year-old Alex Weber back in February.

Edwards also received five years of probation.

Weber was trying to help Edwards and his friend, Jenna Shaw, after they claimed they had run out of gas.

Edwards plead guilty in April to charges of aggravated battery and robbery in the attack.

Shaw was sentenced to three years in jail and five years of probation on May 17th.
