1 dead following hit-and-run near 24th and Center in Milwaukee

MILWAUKEE-- The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office on Tuesday, May 5 were notified of a death at the scene of a crash near 24th and Center in Milwaukee.

The crash happened just before 1 a.m. Milwaukee police say a pedestrian was struck by a motorist who then fled the scene. Then, a second motorist hit the pedestrian and also fled -- but was later stopped.

The victim -- a 45-year-old man -- sustained fatal injuries. The driver of the second vehicle -- a 60-year-old man -- was stopped and arrested.
