MILWAUKEE -- Christmas may be over a month away -- but we're getting in the spirit in Milwaukee. Crew were busy Thursday morning cutting down the Milwaukee City/County Christmas tree -- and Laura Langemo was live at the scene with all the action.
The 40-foot Colorado Blue Spruce was located on N. Teutonia Avenue near W. Hemlock Street.The donors are the Farina Family at Gen III Woodworks.

Following the harvest, the tree received a Milwaukee Police Department escort to Red Arrow Park, located across from City Hall. Once placed in the park, City Forestry staff will decorate the tree for the lighting ceremony scheduled for Thursday, November 19th at 5:00 p.m.
2015 marks the 102nd year of the Christmas tree celebration in Milwaukee, the second oldest such celebration in the United States behind New York City.
