Summerfest officially opens new North Gate, Community Plaza with ribbon-cutting ceremony
MILWAUKEE -- Summerfest officials on Thursday, June 14 officially opened the new North Gate and Community Plaza, which has been under construction since last fall.The project was made possible through a partnership with American Family Insurance and will connect Maier Festival Park to the new Lakefront Gateway Project and downtown Milwaukee.

MILWAUKEE -- The Milwaukee County Transit System (MCTS) announced on Tuesday, June 5 two changes that officials say will make your ride to Summerfest faster and easier.After a 15-year hiatus, MCTS will again provide Freeway Flyers service to Summerfest from the Park-Ride lot near the Bayshore Town Center.Riders at the 10 Park-Ride lots in Milwaukee and Ozaukee Counties that MCTS serves for Summerfest will simply board the bus when it arrives and then pay for their trip as they walk into Summerfest.

MILWAUKEE -- Summerfest revealed on Wednesday, May 16 one of its largest lineups of new food and beverage menu items to date, as well as the 2018 merchandise line for this year’s festival.Summerfest 2018 Food and BeveragesFive new local vendors have also been added this year – Klement’s Sausage, BelAir Cantina, Koepsell’s Kettle Corn, Cedar Crest Frozen Custard, and Little Sweetie’s Specialty Treat Wagon, while two existing vendors, Auntie Anne’s and Sil’s Mini Donuts will expand their offerings in new locations.From Klement’s Brats, pulled pork cheese fries and frozen custard to bacon cannolis, sweet plantains, and homemade potato gnocchi in a rich cream sauce, there are over 70 new items to tempt fest-goers’ taste buds.
