Packers LB Bishop hurts leg against Chargers

SAN DIEGO (AP) -- Desmond Bishop, the Green Bay Packers starting linebacker, left Thursday night's preseason opener against the San Diego Chargers with a right leg injury.

Bishop injured his leg halfway through the first quarter, when a group of players fell on it while he was finishing a tackle. He didn't move for several minutes while trainers looked after him, and he was unable to put any weight on his leg as he was moved to the sideline.

Trainers worked on Bishop's leg behind the Packers' bench before he was taken into the locker room on a cart.

More than a dozen players were ruled out of tonight's game with injuries for the Packers, with Bishop being the latest to be added to the list.
