West Allis police seeking suspect in bank robbery

WEST ALLIS -- West Allis police are investigating a bank robbery near 67th and Greenfield that occurred on Tuesday, January 22nd just after 3:30 p.m.

Police say an African-American man entered the bank, stating he wanted to open a checking account. The man lingered in the bank for several minutes, while looking around the bank before leaving.

Police say the man returned around 30 minutes later and presented a note to the teller, demanding various denominations of money.

Police say the suspect fled the bank with money and the demand note and got into a tan-colored Pontiac Aztek SUV parked in the Pick 'N Save lot. 

The vehicle fled northbound on S. 70th Street.
