Town of Geneva fatal shooting; police arrest 52-year-old man

TOWN OF GENEVA, Wis. - Town of Geneva police are investigating a fatal shooting that happened early Monday, Jan. 20.

What we know:
Officials say just before 2:30 a.m. on Monday, Town of Geneva police officers were dispatched to a residence on Lincoln Avenue for a report of a shooting.
When officers and fire personnel arrived on the scene, they found a young man who had been shot. They began life-saving measures. The young man was taken to a hospital – where he later died from his injuries, officials said.
The Town of Geneva Police Department is working with the Walworth County Sheriff’s Office on this investigation.

A suspect has been taken into custody and is being housed at the Walworth County Sheriff's Office Jail. Officials identified the suspect as a 52-year-old man from Lake Geneva.
What's next:
A charge of first-degree reckless homicide is being reviewed by the Walworth County District Attorney’s Office – and could be filed in the coming days.
