RACINE COUNTY -- Officials with the Racine County Sheriff's Office say a total of three people were arrested as a search warrant was served and drugs were seized from a home on Durand Avenue on Monday night, May 2nd. Two of those arrested showed up to the home to buy drugs while officials were on scene, according to the Sheriff's Office.
The search warrant was executed around 8:00 p.m. at the home on Durand Avenue near Kentucky Street.
More than 50 grams of heroin was recovered (with an approximate street value of $6,500), along with a half ounce of cocaine, a .357 handgun, body armor, a digital scale, packaging material and cash.
A 65-year-old Racine man was taken into custody on the following charges:
A 37-year-old man and a 27-year-old man, both of Kansasville, were arrested when they came to the home and tried to purchase drugs from the 65-year-old man while the search warrant was being served, officials said.
Those men were arrested on a charge of attempted possession with intent to deliver -- with one man facing an additional penalty enhancer for allegedly committing the crime while armed with a firearm.
