Semis collide in Kansasville; Illinois driver injured

KANSASVILLE, Wis. - An Illinois truck driver was hurt in a collision between two semis in western Racine County on Tuesday, Oct. 24.
Officials say the wreck happened shortly before noon Tuesday at the intersection of Hwy 11 (Durand Avenue) and Hwy J (English Settlement).
When first responders arrived on the scene, they found two semis with extensive damage blocking the entire roadway. A 36-year-old semi driver from Buffalo Grove, Illinois was injured and then taken to a Burlington hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the other semi denied injury and refused medical treatment.

Towing crews from Don’s Towing and from Michel’s Garage arrived at the scene to remove the two wrecked semis and assist with debris clean-up.

Racine County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating the cause of the crash.
