Actor Ryan Reynolds has written an emotional tribute after the 13-year-old boy who may have been the world’s biggest Deadpool fan lost his battle against cancer.
Reynolds met Connor McGrath through the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
Connor's wish was to see Reynolds’ movie. The actor made sure Connor was the first person to see the film, which would go on to make $760 million at the global box office.
They exchanged countless text messages. When Reynolds visited Connor six weeks later, he realized things weren’t going well.
He thanked Connor’s family and Make-A-Wish for bringing the two of them together. And he also made a final promise to his friend.
