Police: Customer shot, wounded during armed robbery in West Allis
WEST ALLIS -- West Allis police are investigating after a customer was shot and wounded during a reported armed robbery near S. 108th Street and W. Cleveland Avenue on Wednesday night, November 16th.
Police say the customer was taken to the hospital for treatment of apparent non-life threatening injuries.
Investigators were focused Wednesday night on a Cricket Wireless store in the area.
West Allis police were receiving assistance from the Greenfield Police Department, New Berlin Police Department, Wauwatosa Police Department and Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office in a search for the suspect.

"This isn't a bad area, so it's kind of shocking that something like would happen around here," Eric Jacobi said.
"I saw some papers on ground, a knocked over stool and one of the tent things with a number three so I thought it might be a shooting."
"We saw a bunch of cop cars," Michelle Jacobi said.
