Police: 45-year-old Milwaukee man taken into custody following separate crashes in West Allis

WEST ALLIS -- West Allis police say a 45-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested following two crashes on Monday afternoon, July 20th.

Police say shortly after noon, they received a report of a hit-and-run crash (involving property damage only) occurring in the parking lot of a business in the 6700 block of W. Greenfield Avenue.

The striking vehicle then fled eastbound, and became involved in another crash in the area of W. National Avenue and Six Points Crossing. Non life-threatening injuries were reported in association with this crash.

The driver of the fleeing vehicle, a 45-year-old Milwaukee man, was arrested.

Police say neither drugs nor alcohol appear to be factors in this incident. An investigation has revealed speed and reckless driving were factors in the second crash.

Neither of these incidents involved a police pursuit.
