Pleasant Prairie house fire; 116th Street and 25th Avenue
PLEASANT PRAIRIE, Wis. - Two people have died following a house fire in Pleasant Prairie on Thursday morning, April 2.
What we know:
According to the Pleasant Prairie Police Department, crews were called to a home on 116th Street near 25th Avenue around 2:40 a.m.
When firefighters arrived on the scene, officials said active flames were seen. Firefighters pushed the front door open as people were believed to be inside.

Two residents, a 73-year-old man and a 34-year-old woman, were found inside the home. They are believed to be father and daughter, officials said. Both were taken to the hospital where they were both pronounced deceased.

Assisting Pleasant Prairie firefighters were Kenosha, Newport, Beach Park, Zion, Paris and Somers Fire Departments. The fire was under control around 3:45 a.m.
The Kenosha County Arson Task Force, Pleasant Prairie Detective Bureau and Evidence Team are working to determine the cause of the fire.
