Motorcyclist injured after crash in West Allis, alcohol and speed appear to be factors

WEST ALLIS -- A 39-year-old Milwaukee man was cited for operating while intoxicated after he crashed his motorcycle in West Allis Tuesday night, June 9th.

It happened at approximately 11:21 p.m. in the 900 block of S. 60th Street.

Officials say the motorcyclist was traveling southbound on S. 60th Street in the 900 block when he lost control of the bike, striking the curb and a tree. It does not appear any other vehicles were in the area at the time of the crash.

As a result of the crash, the motorcyclist was transported to the hospital for treatment of what appear to be serious injuries.

Alcohol and speed appear to be factors in the crash. The driver of the motorcycle was cited for first offense operating while intoxicated.
