Milwaukee shootings Sunday; 1 dead, 1 wounded

Separate shootings in Milwaukee on Sunday, Aug. 23 left one person dead and one wounded. 

24th and Melvina

What we know:

Milwaukee police responded to the shooting scene at around 5:30 a.m.

The victim, a 19-year-old, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to the hospital for treatment. 

One person was taken into custody. Charges are pending review by the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office.

6th and Ring

What we know:

According to the Milwaukee Police Department, a 35-year-old was shot around 11:10 p.m. 

The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. 

Police continue to seek unknown suspect(s).
