House fire near Sherman and Burleigh, Milwaukee
MILWAUKEE - Milwaukee firefighters battled a 2-alarm house fire near Sherman and Burleigh on Monday afternoon, Oct. 30.
Officials say nobody was in the house at the time of the fire.
The fire started in the basement and spread throughout the building. Milwaukee firefighters called for a 2nd alarm to effectively and efficiently extinguish the fire.
No firefighters were injured.

Two families were displaced and Red Cross was contacted to assist with them.
The scene was turned over to the Milwaukee Fire Investigative Unit and Milwaukee Police Department to find the origin and source of the fire.
