Milwaukee police chase, crash; Sherman and Capitol, several injured

MILWAUKEE - A Milwaukee police chase ended in a crash on Sunday night, Feb. 2. Several people were injured in the crash.

What we know:
According to police, the pursuit began after officers spotted a reckless driver around 9:20 p.m. in the area of 42nd and Hampton.
The pursuit ended near Sherman and Capitol before 10 p.m. after the fleeing driver hit a moving vehicle.
The driver, a 25-year-old, was taken into custody at the scene. There were non-life threatening injuries to the multiple occupants of the vehicle that was struck.

The MFD said five or six ambulances were sent to the scene to respond.
What's next:
Charges are pending review by the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office. The investigation is ongoing.
