MIAD temporary lockdown, 'individual in crisis'

The Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design was temporarily locked down Thursday night due to "an individual in crisis."

MILWAUKEE - The Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design was temporarily locked down Thursday night, Sept. 7 due to "an individual in crisis."

MIAD officials said the lockdown was "out of an abundance of caution" and lasted for less than 30 minutes.

Students and staff were notified via emails and texts through an emergency alert system.
