Burger King Whopper changes

Dig deeper:

This news comes on the heels of Burger King’s announcement last week that its iconic Whopper burger would be getting a makeover and would change for the first time in nearly 10 years.

According to a press release by the company, the flame-grilled Whopper sandwich will now feature a "higher-quality Whopper experience," including more premium ingredients.

More specifically, the burger giant said the Whopper would have a "better tasting bun," be served in a box, and come with "better tasting mayo."

What they're saying:

"Over the past several years, we’ve focused on strengthening our operations and modernizing our restaurants to build a more consistent foundation across the system," Tom Curtis, the president of Burger King, said in a statement. "With that work well underway, we’re now in a position to thoughtfully elevate our core menu. The Whopper is an icon, so we didn’t set out to reinvent it. Instead, we elevated it based on direct guest feedback."
