Lomira house fire; man arrested for arson
LOMIRA, Wis. - A 21-year-old man was arrested and charged with arson in Lomira on Thursday, Jan. 23, after a house fire broke out.

What we know:
The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office said the fire broke out at a two-story home around 3:40 p.m. Thursday in the 900 block of Main Street.
Witnesses said they observed the fire alerted our dispatch center of a suspicious male that was at the location just prior to the fire being reported.

There were no occupants inside the home, but there were two dogs that were removed and they are safe.

The sheriff’s office quickly followed up on the "suspicious person" that was reported, and an arrest was made. The 21-year-old Lomira man was booked into the Dodge County Jail for arson.

This fire is still under investigation by the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office and the State Fire Marshall.
