Officials with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation said the work is part of a $3.88 million sewer project. But this is not just any sewer project.

"Any time you are building, that means more revenue," a resident said.

"I'm excited about the Bucks arena," a resident said.

Bucks officials said the work at and around the Park East Corridor is the first significant project on land that will one day include the new arena, and possibly a billion dollars in new, surrounding development.

"It will be nice to see something bigger, better in Milwaukee," a resident said.
