Despite the warnings...
"One of our managers called a number of dealerships in the area to let them know to be on the look out," said Tom Wendland, Schlossman Dodge City.
"Proceeded to take a new F-150 right off the showroom floor," said Glenn Pentler, Uptown Ford Lincoln.

This bit of news sounds like a broken record as would-be auto thieves continue to steal vehicles from dealerships throughout Greater Milwaukee on Friday.
"Nobody wants to work for a living, they want to get their money free, so they steal a car," said Super Dave Fairbrother, A Good Locksmith.

The crooks are keeping Super Dave Fairbrother busy after West Allis police say three teens, and a 21-year-old, are caught breaking into EZ Motor Cars near 76th and Beloit Road just after 1:00 a.m. Friday morning.
While all four are arrested with the ignition to one car missing, Fairbrother says some reprogramming will prevent further problems.
Meanwhile...
"We'll make some changes and I'm sure recommend a lot of dealers make some policy changes on what they do with their keys," said Wendland.
One way to help cut down on these crimes involves citizens remaining aware of their surroundings.
In this case, West Allis police say one witness alerted police to the suspects being on the premises and another directed investigators to locate the fourth suspect.
