DHS: 717 new positive cases of COVID-19 in WI; no new deaths

The number of positive cases of COVID-19 in Wisconsin rose by 717 Tuesday, Sept. 8, officials with the Wisconsin Department of Health Services reported, for a total of 82,477. 

There have been 1,168 deaths in the state, with no new deaths reported Tuesday.

Of the positive cases, 6,118 have required hospitalization (7.4%), while 73,122 have recovered (88.7%), making for 8,169 active cases (9.9%).

More than 1.2 million have tested negative. More than 1.3 million have been tested.
