Convicted sex offender to be released in Town of Genesee
WAUKESHA CO. (WITI) -- Convicted sex offender Thomas Sciano is expected to be released to a home in the Town of Genesee after serving his prison sentenced imposed on him by the courts.
Sciano was convicted of multiple sexual assaults of children. Both of these occurrences occurred at different parks. Sciano also had numerous incidents of exposing himself and inappropriate touching. Some of his victims were not acquaintances. Sciano will be enrolled in the Electronic Monitoring Program (EMP) and the Global Positioning System (GPS).
Sciano is to have no unsupervised contact with minors unless approved by the Department of Corrections, no contact with taverns/bars/liquor stores, no contact with his victims, and he cannot consume alcohol or illegal drugs.
This notification by police is not intended to increase fear. Officials say it is their belief that an informed public is a safer public.
