Attorney increases his portion of reward in Za’layia Jenkins case to $50K; total now $65K

MILWAUKEE — Attorney Michael Hupy announced Wednesday, June 8th an increased reward for information in the shooting death of nine-year-old Za’layia Jenkins.

Michael Hupy previously offered a $25,000 reward -- but that amount was increased to $50,000 -- making the total reward $65,000 --  which includes the FBI’s portion of the reward.

Jenkins was shot inside a home near 15th and Meinecke on the evening of May 5th. The nine-year-old girl, who would have turned 10 years old on May 17th was “legally pronounced dead/brain dead” on May 16th, according to the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner’s Office.
