$38 million development coming to West Allis

WEST ALLIS -- West Allis officials announced a $38 million development at the site of the Old Pressed Steel tank facility.

A new health care campus is expected to come to the neighborhood. The campus will include a nursing facility, residential care and corporate offices. It's expected to bring with it 300 new jobs.

City officials aren't saying which health care company is moving into the neighborhood, but Patrick Schloss says a deal with the developer is a huge relief. "Seeing a new vision for this site and attracting such a large development and a comprehensive health care facility like this, as well as a corporate headquarters, I mean that's a big win for our city," Schloss said.

The new healthcare campus will join an apartment building across the street, and Schloss says there's more to come.
