2026 Waukesha County Parks camping season opens; reserve space online

Waukesha County Parks announced on Thursday, April 2, that it has opened its 2026 camping season. Reservations are available for campsites at four county parks.

What we know:

A news release says campers can reserve sites at Menomonee Park, Mukwonago Park, Muskego Park, and Naga-Waukee Park. Parks officials say each provides unique camping experiences and access to hiking, biking, fishing, boating and other outdoor activities.

Menomonee Park, located in the villages of Lannon and Menomonee Falls, features 37 family and group campsites. The park also has a swimming beach, fishing areas, archery range, dog exercise area, playground, hiking and more

Mukwonago Park showcases a glacial ridge and rolling terrain. Hammock camping is available in addition to 37 family and group campsites, both electric and non-electric. Amenities include archery, a swimming beach, dog exercise area, fishing, hiking and more.

Muskego Park provides a tranquil setting with abundant wildlife and 20 family and group campsites, some with electric hookups. Visitors can enjoy archery, hiking, fishing, swimming and more.

Naga-Waukee Park, features 30 family and group campsites, both electric and non-electric. Located on Nagawicka Lake in the town of Delafield, the park has campsites with easy access to boating, fishing, hiking, a swimming beach and other outdoor activities.

Camp through end of October

What we know:

Campgrounds are open seasonally through Oct. 31. Reservations are required and can be made online at wauk.co/camp.

Visitors must follow park rules, observe quiet hours and practice "Leave No Trace" principles to help protect natural areas. Firewood may be purchased onsite; outside firewood is not allowed to prevent the spread of invasive species.
