Wisconsin wind advisory Thursday; gusts 40-50 mph

MILWAUKEE - A winter weather advisory for southeast Wisconsin was dropped early Thursday morning, Feb. 6. However, a wind advisory remains in effect from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday for Fond du Lac, Sheboygan, Washington, Ozaukee, and Dodge Counties.

What we know:
The FOX6 Weather Experts say sunshine returns for Thursday afternoon with temperatures warming to the upper 30s. But more seasonal air is back for Friday and Saturday.
Significant snow is expected for Saturday with several inches possible in some areas. Stay tuned for updates.
Freezing drizzle with a light glaze of ice accumulation is expected. There could be a few snow showers that may mix in at times with minimal accumulation.
The NWS said to plan on slippery road conditions and to slow down and use caution while traveling.

More snow is in the forecast for Saturday. While there is still time for this to shift north or south, there is potential for this storm to be one of the highest snowfalls of the season.
