Wave fall to Blast, 15-4

MILWAUKEE -- The Wave fell to 1-2 after a 15-4 loss to the Blast tonight at 1st Mariner Arena. In typical Blast vs. Wave fashion, the game featured end-to-end action as well as plenty of scoring opportunities and fouls.

Defender Mike Deasel got the Blast off to an early lead, scoring his first goal of the season just three minutes into play. The Wave answered less than a minute later when veteran Giuliano Oliviero found the back of the net to tie the game at 2-2. The goal was Oliviero’s 400th career goal. The Blast regained the lead late in the quarter when Nunez scored to put the Blast on top, 4-2.

The Blast jumped ahead 6-2 when Donatelli scored in the fifth minute of the second quarter but the Wave fought back and Evan McNeley cut the lead to 6-4. Roque's goal doubled Baltimore's lead over the Wave, 8-4, to end the first half.

The Blast held the Wave scoreless in the second half while Adriano Dos Santos, Max Ferdinand and Mike Lookingland scored to put the game out of reach for the Wave.

The Wave’s next home game is December 1st.
