MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee Brewers outfielder Ryan Braun will not earn a second consecutive National League MVP award.
The MVP balloting tallied on Thursday, November 15th shows Braun earned 285 votes. That's far short of Buster Posey's 422 votes earned.
Posey, a catcher for the San Francisco Giants, received 27 of 32 first-place votes.
Pittsburgh Pirates outfielder Andrew McCutchen was third with 245 points overall.
Braun had a .319 batting average in the 2012 season. He had 191 hits, 41 homeruns, 108 runs and 112 RBIs. He also hit his 1000th career hit in a game against the Cincinnati Reds back on July 20th.
