NFL Draft 2015: Players with Wisconsin ties expected to go in the early rounds
CHICAGO (WITI) -- The NFL draft is being conducted in Chicago this year. The first round is set for Thursday evening, April 30th -- and Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston favored as the top pick by Tampa Bay. Tennessee holds the second pick, with Jacksonville choosing third, followed by Oakland and Washington.
There are a couple of draft prospects with Wisconsin ties. Runningback Melvin Gordon who played for the Wisconsin Badgers is in the thick of things. He and longtime friend Trae Waynes, a cornerback who played for Michigan State, are expected to be considered in the early rounds. Gordon and Waynes attended and played together at Bradford High School in Kenosha.
