Nebraska snaps Badgers 8 game winning streak

LINCOLN, NE -- Shavon Shields and Terran Petteway scored 26 points apiece as a fired-up Nebraska squad beat the 9th ranked Badgers, 77-68 Sunday night to end Wisconsin's longest conference winning streak since 1940-41 at 8 games.
Frank Kaminsky led 4 UW players in double figures with 14 points.
The Cornhuskers bolstered their resume for their first NCAA Tourney bid since 1997-98.
The Badgers' (25-6, 12-6 Big Ten) shot at a number 1 seed went by the boards, but there's still a chance for a number 2, depending on what happens this coming weekend in the Big Ten Tourney at Indianapolis.
