Miller Park Board says stadium tax to end between 2016, 2020

MILWAUKEE -- The Miller Park Stadium Board met Tuesday to discuss the end date for the stadium tax.

The board says the .1 percent sales will go at least another four years, ending between 2016 and 2020.

The tax affects five counties: Milwaukee, Ozaukee, Waukesha, Racine and Kenosha, and is being used to pay off the construction costs of the stadium.

The board says there are two key variables that impact the end date: the amount of sales tax collected each year, and the amount of interest earned on the tax.
