Let's win two; Brewers sweep doubleheader
CHICAGO (WITI) -- Down to their last strike, the Brewers pulled out a ninth inning rally for the second straight night at Wrigley Field. Toss in a one-run victory on Tuesday afternoon, and Milwaukee is having a terrific week at the expense of the Cubs. Tuesday, the Brewers won 6-5 and 3-2 to sweep a doubleheader over Chicago and run their record this season to 8 and 3 against the North Siders.
Rookie Rob Wooten got his first big league win in the opener. Jean Segura, Yuniesky Betancourt, and Khris Davis all hit homers.
In the nightcap, Tyler Thornburg set the stage with 6 shutout innings in a spot start and Jeff Bianchi's two-out, two-run single in the ninth gave the Crew the dramatic win.
The four game series concludes Wednesday night.
