Greinke Wins 9th, Brewers Snap 4 Game Skid
CINCINNATI -- If the Brewers wind up having to trade pitcher Zack Greinke, they can say that he gave them a bang for their buck. The ace righthander (now 9-2) tossed 6 innings, allowing just 2 runs, as Milwaukee avoided a 3 game sweep and stopped a 4 game skid with an 8-4 win over the Reds in Cincinnati.
With Ryan Braun benched by a sore left elbow (he was hit by a pitch on Tuesday night), Rickie Weeks and Cody Ransom came through with 2-run homers, to stake Greinke to a 5-1 lead.
The Crew return home after a 2 and 4 road trip. They don't play Thursday; Arizona helps open a homestand on Friday night.
