Brewers clip Cubs at cold Wrigley Field, take Game 2

CHICAGO -- The Milwaukee Brewers put up five runs in the first inning in Chicago on Tuesday night to earn their second straight win over the Cubs.

Shortstop Alex Gonzalez capped the frame by blasting his first homer in a Brewers uniform. It was a three-run shot off Paul Maholm, who was making his first start for the Cubs.

Milwaukee starter Chris Narveson improved his record to 7-1 against Chicago with five solid inning (three runs) on a night when the wind chill factor hovered around the freezing mark.

For the second straight night, the hosts mounted a threat in the ninth inning, but Francisco Rodriguez was able to slam the door shut, as John Axford did in game one of the four-game series.

The two teams meet Wednesday afternoon with the first pitch scheduled for 1:20.
