Boylan coaches Bucks to win, 108-99
MILWAUKEE -- Tuesday was a long and difficult day for the Milwaukee Bucks organization and its' players. The team and Scott Skiles "mutually agreed to part ways" after four plus seasons, but the evening turned into a block party for new head coach Jim Boylan, thanks to a 108-99 victory over the Phoenix Suns Tuesday night in the BMO Harris Bradley Center.
Boylan, Skiles lead assistant, also took over for the coach when he was fired by the Chicago Bulls on Christmas eve several years ago. He was given the reigns to the Bucks for the rest of the season, perhaps beyond, by GM John Hammond-who said he's in discussions with Senator Herb Kohl about a contract extension.
Seven Bucks scored in double figures, led by the 29 point performance of Brandon Jennings. Larry Sanders had six of the team's ten blocks against the Suns, who led by nine points in the first half.
