Skip slaving over the stove: No-bake desserts that are bound to satisfy your sweet tooth
MILWAUKEE -- Beat the heat with no-bake desserts. Chef Alisa Malavenda with the Art Institute of Wisconsin joins Real Milwaukee with some cool desserts for hot days.
NO BAKE DESSERTS
PEANUT BUTTER PIE
OR
For the Crust:
Crush cookies and pulse in a food processor until fine – add melted butter and pulse a few more times. Press into a 9 in pie plate and freeze for about 30 minutes.
Whip heavy cream until soft peaks form and set aside.
In a separate bowl, beat cream cheese, peanut butter, sugar and vanilla extract until smooth.
Fold in the whipped cream and pour into prepared pie crust.
Chill in refrigerator over night or until firm.
Garnish with more prepared whipped cream and mini peanut butter cups, chopped

Combine 2 T peanut butter and 1 C chocolate chips in a bowl.
Heat ½ C heavy whipping cream over medium heat until right before boiling ( simmer) – pour over chocolate and peanut butter , let stand for 5 minutes and then stir until meted and smooth. Pour over chilled pie to cover peanut butter filling and refrigerate for another hour
